If your internship is with kids like mine at 4 The Children. What you need to be able to do is be patient, forgiving, and understanding. When a kid starts crying you need to be able to be patient and understanding with them while trying to distract them from whatever was upsetting them. When a parent is late, being forgiving and understanding life can make youtube a bit late sometimes.

I’m a lot more patient and understanding with people. When someone isn’t behaving or doing what they are supposed to I’m able to step back and breathe so that I don’t come off the wrong way when confronting the problem at hand. 

There was one main thing that I had a major challenge dealing with. One of the kids came in crying and upset. I froze and didn’t know what to do. With the help of my mentor I was able to get through it and learned that the best way to deal with that situation is to distract the kid.

It was Important because I was able to stay at the building if they needed to go do ernins and I brought creativity. I was willing to help whenever I was needed and do odd jobs around the place. The reason 4 The children should keep taking interns is that they are willing to do anything that is needed.

This internship has helped me plan for my future by giving me a better idea of what I want to do in the future. I know I want to do something that will help the community.
